Soil Testing
a little effort goes a long way.
Mediocre soil leads to mediocre results.
Lawn care basics start with your soil. Soil is made up of minerals, organic matter (living and dead), air and water. It provides nutrients and serves as a foundation for plants. Improving your soil increases plant health and is critical to growing a lawn or garden you’ll enjoy in your yard for a lifetime.
A soil test will help determine whether your soil is acidic, neutral or alkaline. It also indicates which elements are missing from your soil and how much to add to remedy the problem. Correcting soil pH will allow nutrients to be readily available to the plant.
An extensive laboratory analysis report service is always recommended. This service fee is $60.00+tax. With this service we will walk the property and determine trouble areas. Your soil pH will be tested on site using our calibrate field equipment. We will also pull a few soil cores to visually inspect soil composition and root structure. Your soil sample will then be sent out for analysis. Laboratory results and recommendations are typically returned to us within 1-2 weeks.
